I am a 53 year old woman married for 33 years, mother to 31 year old and 28 year old daughters, grandmother to a 4 year old grandson and 2 year old granddaughter. Also have a 7 year old Jack Russell and 1 year old Boxer/Jack Russell/Greyhound mix. Husband is self employed as a modular home set crew and I do his office work.
Born and raised in Easton, PA. Lived by courthouse til jr hi then moved to West Ward. Went to Wolf Elementary, Easton Jr and graduated EAHS - Class of 74. Never went to college, mom told me that they didn't have money and aunt made good money being secretary so that was what I was going to become! That has been one of my biggest regrets in life but must move on!
Moved to Mt Bethel when I got married, actually was told if I wanted to get married I needed to move to Mt Bethel. Live in same house hubby grew up in since he was 4 years old. Area is changing but our little block is still nice and quiet except for the darn birds, tweet tweet tweet all day long!
Raised Catholic (St Michael's/St Bernard's) but that changed after I had children when I felt the Catholic Church didn't have much for preschoolers. Switched to hubby's childhood church and felt the girls were give a very good Christian foundation. Became disenchanted with church after some of life's ups and downs and have been looking for the place where I belong ever since.
After high school, worked for EASD, Easton Area EIT and then ENBT (wow did I have a thing for "E"). But longest career was being a mother. Guess not going to college allowed me to be a stay at home mom without the guilt. After girls went to school, I was able to rejoin the ranks of the employed.
